Balboa coming to Grandview Ave

balboa

Balboa is opening soon on Grandview Avenue featuring relaxed, spirited eats with Spanish influence and over 100 different tequilas offered as well as craft bears and wine with a southern California influence. Balboa was inspired by its namesake, Balboa Island California.

Balboa will open at the beginning of May on May 5, just in time for Cinco de Mayo! Balboa’s owner, Brian Swanson, was inspired by the relaxed vibes and unique fresh tastes of Southern California and wanted to bring that same experience to the Grandview community.

Balboa, situated in the previous Shoku building, has been renovated to cultivate that same Southern California feeling. Balboa’s wrap-around bar will feature over 100 different tequilas, margaritas, and craft beers designed to provide that extra punch of flavor you would expect while sitting on a patio over looking the water. Speaking of patio, Balboa’s patio will extend out into Grandview Avenue and have plenty of seats for guests to lounge as they enjoy the culinary offerings and refreshing beverages.

The selections on Balboa’s menu cross the boarders of Spanish inspired cuisine and include highlights like Shrimp Ceviche, Mahi Mahi, and the featured Balboa Bowls which allow you to mix and match so many amazing flavors into one dish. Balboa will be open until 2am on the weekends with late night food available. There are plenty of spaces available for private parties and special occasion dining.
